Fred Gaisberg seems to be the only mention of Leopold, but after some 40 years his brain cells just weren't working too well. Bob Hodge probably picked Leopold from Arnold's "The Orchestra on Record - 1896-1926," the only other reference to him.  As for George, that seems to have come from Creighton's "Discopedia of the Violin,"  as a violinist who would have been 18 years old in 1898 when these recordings were first made.

I'll go with the majority, which includes Alan Kelly, who gets most of his material directly from the horse's mouth, i.e., the EMI/HMV Archives, Registers, etc.

The only existing problem is -- the name on the label is distinctly G. Jacobs!
