Re: [ARSCLIST] THE ROYALE GROUP

Hi to the Kulps. I would welcome any listing of what you may have, that has been identified. I don't know much about the Scott recordings, but I do have a few Family Records issues, with some interesting stereo performances. Bruckner's Four Orchestral Pieces on one disc, which has had very few recordings. The performances sound like they're from broadcasts. The renditions, of some unusual works, are quite good. Friedrich Walter is credited as conductor...whether this is the fairly-well-known Fried Walter, or not, is still a good question. Family Records had very nice pressings...or, at least, the ones I have, or have seen, have been really nice. Unfortunately, they're rather hard to find, and I believe their classical issues were rather limited. Stereo-Fidelity(the pre-Alshire days)also had excellent pressings for a super-cheapo label. The pressings I got, in the midwest, were always perfect, but I've heard from others, who live in other parts of the country, that the discs they would purchase were usually of poor quality. Surface "virginity" may have been determined by where they were pressed. SS
