Re: [ARSCLIST] Fairchild 654 Compatilizer -- what is this thing?

I was on GearSlutz a couple of days ago and did a search. There is an unanswered post trying to find out what it is too. I'd just plug it into a CD player and output it to an AD are record what each of the knobs does.

Tom,

Fairchild was definitely known for its compressors, still very valued today. Have you tried gearslutz?

Good luck

Hi All:

Knobs for threshold and release, so it's obviously a compressor of some sort. Does anyone have any documents on it? I need a connections-terminals list and power supply requirements. Thanks!

For the curious, it's covered in Patent 3281706 but I don't have time to suss that out right now.
