Your question is very broad, covering both outboard and inboard units; 
working on PC, Mac and other computers (even standalone); with a wide 
range of costs, capabilities (192 ksps? 16-, 24-, 32-bit depth?); and so on.

I operate near the low end in most respects with the ADTech Instant 
Music. It serves my requirements, is inexpensive and easy to use with 
the PC. Those with somewhat more advanced requirements appear to like 
Card D. High-end hardware is available for professional purposes.
