As a big watcher of e-Bay, I've seen people get wrapped up in bidding and going way overboard just to
be the winner. I've seen $5 Brownie cameras go for $45.00. If it's a case of "I must have..." the only limitation is the person's wallet and sense of restraint. 
 
Also, there is something else in the mix on this. I've often commented that a recording may not be rare or even have that great a book value, but try to find another copy! If the collector has been looking "forever" to replace a lost copy, the premium willing to be paid is often ridiculous as seen from the outside.
 
Then again, this could be a dealer in Warhol material and he/she knows they have a buyer lined up who will pay twice as much for a cover done when an unknown artist named Warhola was still doing commercial gigs.
