My friend - a history professor who I've helped on audio history projects,  
just told me about a new web site on Pennsylvania History which has a large -  
and expanding - section on Show Business including early sound recordings. And 
 there are neat sound files there.
 
I haven't had time to dig into it too deep yet but wanted to share the URL.
