Actually, what Les Paul "invented" (and thereafter featured on bis
recordings...) was the concept of "Multi-tracking on tape" (by using
re-recording on an existing track without erasing previous content...!).
He used thin on most of his early-fifties recordings...for both vocal
and guitar! He was as interested in electronics, and tape recording,
as he was in blues...!
