Are you referring to 'audio archivists' as individual professionals, or as
independent service providers?
Interesting question. There have been at least two efforts to provide
referral lists to independent service providers (presumably after certifying
their qualifications). Both efforts failed, for different reasons.
There were probably other efforts as well.
