Re: [ARSCLIST] Media mail

Most of the major auction dealers use Media Mail, unless requested otherwise, and I've been happy with the results for years. It's the individual eBay sellers who need to be hit over the head and shown training films on how to package records (and not underpack, and not overpack).

According to Tom Hawthorn, the adjustments to the rates mean a slight increase for small parcels and lower costs for shipping larger ones.

As far as I was concerned, because there was ONE for-sure recorded tape in there, the whole thing counted for Media Mail. His post office raised a ruckus but he stuck to his guns and the local postmaster sided with us.
