All prices quoted were also excluding VAT ("sales tax") I believe  
which is a further 17.5% in the U.K.

With the USD to GBP at nearly 2 one can see a price of circa 30 to 40  
thousand U.S. or up to 60 thousand U.S. according to the later mail.
