Re: [ARSCLIST] Sounds of Slavery

Along the lines of what Kiwi did, I have remastered tapes for the University of Florida dealing with civil rights issues, and for the Vermont Folklife Center which had a long oral history (award winning) show based on the life of a daughter of a slave. The program is called "Journey's End" and it has some powerful stories in it. "Journey's End" should be available on CD now.

While neither are interviews with surviving slaves, "Journey's End" in particular has many vivid stories handed down that discuss race and slavery.

Cheers,

Richard
