Take the deck back and demand that they pay for it to be aligned correctly
by somebody who knows what they are doing. It's highly unlikely that the
Nagra and B-77 you made your recordings with were that far out of alignment
and highly unlikely that your A-77 would have gone that far out of alignment
with normal wear and tear. A-77s are among the most reliable tape recorders
ever made. In fact more so than their expensive studio counterparts. If they
replaced the heads, I'd also demand a new set because they've probably
ruined them. Proper alignment of new heads is critical because it sets the
wear pattern.
	
You paid a LOT of money and got incompetent service.
