All Music Guide has just published a piece about James Brown's roots and
forward influences written, of all people, myself. Nonetheless, a lot of
this comes directly from my lifelong studies of the Cincinnati recording
industry. I invite the interested to come check it out - it involved a lot
of work and I'm quite proud of it.
