Ok I'm sorry,but there is quite a bit of information out there,unless you are after information about records labelled "private",or really obscure UK/European budget labels from the 50s and 60s.What is lacking is biographical information about really obscure conductors,and soloists,especially in the postwar,and early Lp era,as well as some of the identities,of who is on those Acorn,Rondo-lette, and other ignored US budget classical labels of the 50s/early 60s.

Not that I'm defending the response that was provided, I did neglect to note
in my original post that I am specifically speaking in terms of Classical
and Operatic recordings. [And a couple of _years_ of doing "Google
searches" hasn't provided links to public sites with the information that I
seek.

for the bigger labels,but not so hot for indies.There are numerous collector
sites for budget classical of the 50s/early 60s,and for 50s/60s/70s
rock,from all over the world,that have ridiculously complete discographical
information,that I could never dream of putting together on my own.And there
are new sites coming online all the time,like one I discovered recently for
post-Shadows,pre-Beatles European/Asian guitar bands.Granted there are still
some unknown private-issue Lps,mostly,classical,as well as stuff like "The
Harlem Twisters"(Canadian),I have yet to find anything on,but there is very
little of this.Sheesh
