Re: [ARSCLIST] Dating LPs ?

I gotta give credit where it's due.

This is the best Command reference:
http://www.enochlight.com/
along with a doctoral thesis for NYU by Richard Gradone

As for Mercury Living Presence, the best reference are the CD/book set "You Are There," widely available on eBay, and the 3-part series "The Winged Champion" by Michael Gray published in The Absolute Sound. Best source for discographic info is the CD booklets, which were very carefully verified/checked and my mother used her original session books so the mist of 40 years time didn't create myths.

I would guess that your information comes from your dad's work and
information, or is there some other source you are using?

That session was also the last for Mercury Living Presence, as defined
as any remnants of the original team. Made in San Antonio in 1967.
Harold Lawrence produced and Bob Eberenz engineered. Reissued on CD
(which sounds better than the LP, in my opinion) in the late 1990's.

I would like to be able to take the label and catalog number of an
LP like a favorite of mine, (Mercury MS90488 Rodrigo: Concierto

information I
seek.

The Schwann LP Record Catalog has the Rodrigo as a New Listing in the
May 1968 issue. Is that close enough for you?
