Sorry about that...I forgot that singers are not considered musicians...


However...I would assume that if one were a member of AFTRA, you would
also be paid a scale appropriate to recording...or be allowed to waive it.


After my school training, singing and recording, I went to L.A. and started singing in various professional groups around town. As a result, I finally was paid for my "talent" by joining AGMA (American Guild of Muisical Artists). In Hollywood and L.A. , it's the union that covers most of the concert, recording and backup singers.

So, my reward in school was really the training I received there. I was just curious.
