[ARSCLIST] Hot Discography
Rainer E. Lotz, ARSC member and former chairman of the IASA Discography
Committee, has published another book_cum_CD: "Die Deutsche
Hot-Discographie", a handbook covering Cakewalk, Ragtime, Hot-Dance and
Jazz. This new jazz discography is a heavy hard cover of some 460 pages,
listing recordings of hot interest by artist (chapter one) and by labels
(chapter two), landscape shape. The attached printable and searchable CD
contains the same files, plus extra files sorted by date (chronology),
by titles, and by vocalists. All titles show the sequence of soloists,
or the composer for cakewalks and rags. The book lists all sound
documents of the 78rpm era, inlcluding mechanical music such as
Symphonion type metal discs or piano rolls, and cylinders. Print run
limted to 150 copies - first come, first served! The cost is 60 Euro,
plus postage (7,00 Euro by surface mail, worldwide. Or 25.00 Euro Airmail)
