Re: [ARSCLIST] GM "historians"--was: Vanguard Classics reappears in 2 cd sets

Problem is, GM is a more important part of American history than Coke. It's sad. There are stories about Ross Perot raising hell at meetings back in the '80s when he saw the gross mismanagement that would eventually cost GM its place as the number one builder in the world. If it hasn't happened already, Toyota will have that honor. And Toyota has inspired products, first class QC and competent management. And many of the great Toyota designs were done in California. WTF?!

BTW, I can get 6 ounce cokes with real bottle caps. Your Canadian bottler must not be set up for real caps.
The difference is that Coca-Cola, being an essential part of US history
and, as such, appealing to nostalgia-driven folks...makes a lot of moola
selling, or licensing, stuff that relies on the history of/nostalgia for
Coke "way back when!" A recent promotion saw a supermarket chain offering
6-packs of 6-ounce bottles of the stuff, complete with crown caps (oddly,
they didn't think of reproducing old bottle caps!).

Go figger (or let the accountants...)
