Yes, those are the Sony headphones I do not like one bit. I can see how people would use them for monitoring live recordings in loud venues, but I'd sure have ringing ears for a week if I used those phones at that level.

Sony MDR-V6 or their cousin, the 7506, slightly hyped top and bottom so you can keep the grunge out. Standard of the industry as far as I am concerned. You'll get a lot of differing opinions on this personal question!
