Re: [ARSCLIST] Edison test pressings

I have received an inquiry regarding the whereabouts of 12" test pressings made by Edison in the mid-20s, of the American Symphony Orchestra with Cesare Sodero conducting. Titles specifically are Beethoven 5th Symphony, Liszt's Les Preludes, and the 1812 Overture. According to Gravely Arnolfd, these discs exist only as test pressings and were never commercially released. Can anyone tell us where these discs are now?

I have a copy on CD of the recordings at the ENHS. A quick check with Chris Zwarg's index found the 1812 Overture with that orchestra, but not with Sodero. A large number of Sodero recordings are specified as being with band.

If you check through the indexes at

to see if the sides you want are there, I'll see what can be done about fetching them for you.
