Even the most junior advertising person knows people live from paycheck
to paycheck, and the bright ones are always on the lookout for the next
job.

Who's to say the position is meant to last a year?

Why, when every other organization posting a position available uses
annual to
give a salary range, would this one be posted as a "monthly"?

I guess California just HAS to be different, but even the most junior
advertising person knows bigger numbers attract more attention!
