That is "CD Extra" if you pay the license fees to use their mark. If
properly done, it will play in regular audio players and when placed in a
computer will show a file system.

I released http://www.marielynnhammond.com/pegasus.htm that way and if you
care, look down past the dozen songs for the CD Extra content. The two "New
Songs" are both in 44.1/16 PCM and MP3 files. The "Stringband songs" are
just high-rate MP3 files. All the documents, including the four plays are
in PDF files.

Does it?  Can it?  It would sure simplify things for those of us looking for
a way of avoiding the "what is really a preservation solution" for the over
44.1 crowd.
