[ARSCLIST] Recond Cleaning Solutions

Revisiting the ARSClist archives today I was reminded that Kodak's lens
cleaner is no longer in production.  Then, for the heck of it, I performed a
Google search and indeed found a vendor; albeit one that sells the cleaner
in quantities of no larger than 16oz bottles.  In any case, it appears as
though  it is still available.  Why then the talk about alternate cleaners?
Is it because cases of 16oz bottles are to expensive?  Did it only recently
reappear on the market?   What other solutions have you had good luck with
in Kodak's absence?

I'm thinking speficially about cleaning lacquers, by the way.
