I am reminded of something I recall reading in an ARL publication. It
stated that when it came to audio preservation, "grants are not the
solution." It added "what do you do when the grant money is gone?"

It seems to me that grants can provide infrastructure, and serve well
projects that are relatively finite. I wonder what experiences and
thoughts others might have on the subject.
