Still I feel it's better that such content be available with data compression
than not at all. And audio codec technology has gotten quite good and is
still
advancing.
Note that streaming does not preclude capture; even on a simple system,
particularly with a tool such as TotalRecorder, it only demands a second
ADC. Given the losses in compression (as noted, required for efficient
streaming), the penalty for digitizing a second time is modest.
