The Beverly Hillbillies were headed by an entertainer named Zeke
Manners.  The group pretended to be from Beverly Hills.  When the
popularity of the group ran its course in California they headed to the
east coast.  In New York, Manners billed himself "The Jewish Hillbilly".
One of members of the group, Little Elton, went on to fame in his own
right as Elton Britt.  This group is certainly deserving of study.
