You mentioned Toast so I'm guessing that you're using a Mac. If you actually
have or have access to a Windows PC, check out CDRWIN from Golden Hawk
Technology. The program is small, cheap and it will let you do just about any
damn thing you can think of (it even let me make a non-Red Book disc with tracks
as short as a single frame, 1/75th of a second). You will need to write your own
cue sheet, a text file that tells the burning app where to put the track and
index numbers; the program help is pretty good at showing how this is done.

When burning a disc, the app asks for the cue sheet. Besides track timings, the
cue sheet also tells the app where the sound file(s) is located on the PC. The
sound file can be in several different formats, e.g. WAV, BIN, etc.

When writing the cue sheet you should play the sound file with an app that can
show time in CD format, MM:SS:FF, 75 frames per second. Cool Edit is perfect for
this.
