This is a problem. Professional recorders are few and far between. Otari
has some offerings in their archival digitizing line.

I'm seeing professional Studer, Sony, Otari, and Ampex machines going for
fire-sale prices on eBay--and there have been some in the UK. That's where
I'm buying most of my tape machines.

For the person asking about playing back a cassette, I use Nakamichi
Dragons as they are the only machine with automatic PLAYBACK azimuth
adjustment--off program, off-the-tape.
