Re: [ARSCLIST] Tonearms

We use an SME 309 for up to 30cm discs. It is a straight tone arm and is a
bit of a bore to use because changing headshells is a fiddle. We also use
an SME 3012 for up to 16 inch discs (sorry I've mixed metric and imperial
units) which has an 'offset' and the headshell changes in a trice.
We also have a turntable fitted with a Revox parallel tracking arm but we
don't use it very much.

What is the preferred SME tonearm for playing 78s? What about 16" ETs? Are
there other arms made by other manufacturers as good?
