So when was the first album made? In my Acoustic Chamber Music Sets
discograhy, I tracked sequences of records, which I called a 'set', as far
back as 1899, but when the first album was made I'm not clear about. I'd
consider a set to be an album only if there was printing on the album side
or cover indicating its contents. Just walking off with two or more discs
in a binder from a dealer's stock won't do. But I'm also curious as to
when dealers started selling binders.
