They sent me a sample a few years ago which was actually made by Mitsui.
I'm not sure how much effect the ceramic layer will have, but the only
failure mode I've seen with Mitsui discs is delamination of the laquer
layer when the discs are subjected to extended periods of heat (I had
one CD-R which lived in a warm CD drive for a few months which showed
this behaviour and a second disc has since gone bad). I wonder if the
ceramic layer will prevent this delamination?
