RE: arsclist World Broadcasting System

I don't know much about World transcriptions generally, but you might want to check with Kevin Mostyn serge@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx on the Boston Symphony item.  Mostyn's discography of extant Koussevitzky concert recordings at http://www.koussevitzky.com/Html/BSO-SK-Live-Works.htm
lists an August 3, 1948 Peter and the Wolf from Tanglewood, narrated by Wesley Addy.

Subject: arsclist World Broadcasting System

I've recently obtained some "World Broadcast Service" pressd 16" transcription discs.

I'm sceptical of some of the performer names.  Has a performer/psuedomom list been compled for these?

Two of interest are Leo Erody, conductor and Taylor King, violinist.  Their recordings are on the "World Program Service" label.

There is also a pair of single sided discs of "Peter and the Wolf" with Boston Symphony Orchestra hadscribed clearly in the dead wax.  It's live, possibly a children's concert judging by the titters in the background.  The speaker uses the standard translation but is placed higher than that of Richard Hale, with whom they recorded it, though no less upscaley English.  This one has a "World Broadcasting System" label, same color orange/red as the two mentioned above.

Has anyone done a study of the World transcription discs?  The info I'm seraching is beyond their published catalog.
