Re: arsclist Telefunken Magnetic Recording Discs



Were these program quality or dictation quality discs (if you know)?

Reason I'm asking is that in the same time frame, Ampex made the "cue mat" machine which used an approximately 12-inch disc made essentially of thick magnetic tape (no sleeve like we would later see on 8-inch (and 14 inch) "floppy" discs).

I'm wondering if the cue mat machine (which I don't have) would play these...

like 7" singles but they are made out of plastic and are flexible. They
were used in the 60s.
