AV Media Matters

This is the every now and then announcement that there is a listserve for

those of you who are interested in the more technical aspects of AV Media.

AV Media Matters is a moderated list with over 650 members from all over the

world who are interested in different aspects of both film, audio, and

video - but from a technical perspective. It is a no-spam, no-off topic,

low traffic list - usually with only a few postings a day.

To give you a flavor, recent postings include discussions of Kodak Gold vs.

the new Kodak Silver CD from a longevity standpoint with comments from Kodak

experts, binders used in acetate audio tape, and DVCAM as a preservation

media type. While there is some discussion of AV Media from an archival

perspective, often there are broader discussions. There are no discussions

of AV Content - rather this is a discussion list involved with the media

itself. You are invited to join - the discussion.
