This article recommends starch paste for mounting albumen prints, some good advice even by contemporary standards. G. Wharton Simpson's On Mounting Photographs provides a great overview of available adhesives and mounting techniques combined with some really interesting commentary on the aesthetics of mounting and presentation. Reilly's Chapter 10 from the Albumen & Salted Paper Book provides a very comprehensive survey of the methods, material and aesthetics of albumen print presentation with additional information on proper long-term storage.
