AUTHOR INFORMATION

CATHERINE I. MAYNOR received her B.A. in art history from the University of Toronto in 1978. She specialized in paper conservation at the Cooperstown Graduate Program (now the Art Conservation Department, State University College at Buffalo), receiving her master's degree there in 1983. She worked in the Department of Prints and Drawings at the Art Institute of Chicago until 1986. Currently, she is paper conservator at the National Museum of American Art, Smithsonian Institution.
