AUTHOR INFORMATION

RICHARD L. KERSCHNER, chief conservator at the Shelburne Museum in Vermont established the conservation division of the museum's collections department in 1983 and was appointed to his current post in 1986. He holds an M.A. in conservation from Cooperstown (1982), a B.S. from Bucknell University (1973), and is a professional associate of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works. He is a member of the board of directors and head of the collections committee of the Vermont Museum and Gallery Alliance.
