The symposium will be dedicated to the broad theme of collection management of paper-related cultural heritage. Presentations should focus on issues such as storage, storage environment, enclosures, digitization, risk management and related subjects. Presentations of work from interdisciplinary projects are particularly welcome. The target groups of the symposium are conservators and collection managers from museums, archives and libraries as well as conservation scientists.
No language editing.
For attendees of the 2010 IADA Prague symposium there will be the opportunity to explore sites in Prague-City which are of special interest to paper conservators and ‘out of sight’ for most tourists.
On Wednesday, we have organized four pre-conference-tours in the city center of Prague. The Jewish Museum and the National Gallery will open their conservation facilities for interested participants. Also, there is the exceptional possibility to meet the conservators of the Jewish cemeteries. Finally, a special tour will provide the unique opportunity to "walk" through a 3D-model of Prague, made by Langweill in 1837. For details see the PDF.
If you are interested to attend a tour, please contact Jana Drevikovskaja before Monday, 17.00, 5pm.
