Our Nation's Capital is home to 375 outdoor sculptures. SOS! surveys showed 173 of them are in need of treatment with 31 needing urgent attention. Several noteworthy sculptures in the city are Emancipation and Mary McLeod Bethune both in Lincoln Park, the Columbus Fountain in front of Union Station, Major General John A. Logan in Logan Circle, as well as numerous sculptures on the National Mall including the Lincoln Memorial (which you can see on the back of a penny), the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the General Ulysses S. Grant Memorial at the base of Capitol Hill.
