Thanks Doug for continuing the discussion.

Yes some things that are going to be dicussed here are going to seem "a
joke" to others but......... This is a discussion group and the aim is to
produce discussion about conservation science issues.

Be they;

Bibliographies, Digital presevation and data formats, analysis and data
manipulation, climate control, data loggers, operating systems, pigment
anaylsis, sample preparation, statistical anaylsis or collaborative projects.

The aim  of the list (in line with SciSigs aim, AICCMS's aim) is to promote
discussion and the exchange of ideas.

This it is doing. Thanks Alison for your work.

Maybe we should start a theme on opensource software, science and museums.
